Nakuru County is home to major tourist attraction sites in Kenya. Lake Nakuru famous for the flamingos and the Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Bogoria National Reserve for the hot springs, Lake Elementaita, the Menengai Crater, Hells Gate and Lake Baringo snake park.
The Catholic diocese of Nakuru stretches from the escarpments of Maai Mahiu, through Nakuru County to the shores of Lake Baringo in Baringo County. It covers an area of 18,149 square kilometers, bordering the dioceses of Lodwar to the north, Eldoret and Kericho to the west, Ngong’ to the south, Nyahururu to the east, and a small portion of Nairobi to the South East.
